Tent Registration, Groups, Sunshades, & More
Tent Registration Form
With the release of the Subcamp Guidelines, we can finally release the Tent Registration Form, the last part of what every member needs to do before the event to be part of our camp!
This form basically tells us what the size and shape of your tent is so we can add it to the camp plan. If you don’t fill it out, there is a HIGH chance your tent won’t be able to be set up in the camp, since there won’t be a planned space for it.
If you have more than one tent or structure (like a sunshade), please fill out the form for each one.
Better Website Organization and Layout
There have been a LOT of overhaul done in the background of the website to try and make it easier to navigate through, be more useful to people looking for information, and generally look better.
We are still working out the kinks, and generally don’t expect things to work on mobile yet. But its a balance between refining things and adding new info as we go!
Let us know if you have ideas for how to structure the website better or find any bugs.
Camp Donations
For the camp, we all pay dues to fund the basic function of the camp infrastructure. But for those who want the camp to grow faster or have a specific project in mind, we have figured out how to set up donation pools here on the website.
General Fund
There is a general Dendronian Camp Donation, which allows for any sort of donation you wish to give, be it reaccuring or one time. This money will go into the same pool of money that Dues go towards, allowing the camp to grow faster in general.
Bar Fund
We also have the beginnings of Camp Projects, which are specific projects that people can donate money towards.
The first project is the Bar. We have a few members of the camp that, so far, have been planning and funding this project all by themselves. We wanted to give people the option of helping them create a working in-character bar, complete with bard performances, custom cocktails (with nonachoholic versions), and a general nice place to hang-out and relax.
They have pretty much everything planned, we just want to gather monetary support for them since they are doing such a cool thing for the camp as a whole.
As always, reach out to the camp leadership if you have a similar project in motion and would like to discuss official camp support or putting together a donation pool.
Sunshade Rentals
We did MATH and lots of spreadsheets and some crying and are now also offering sunshades for rent in our camp!
We wanted to add these with the release of the Group Guidelines, since they can be pretty important for groups to have a cheaper option earlier on to make a space to play and gather in!
Check out the Sunshade Rentals in the Member Resources area of the website, where we list all the things reserved specifically for people who have paid dues.
We also have a quick catalogue of our rentals now, which list details Tent Rentals and Sunshade Rentals. There are some tents on there that aren’t in the website, but if there is enough interest, we will add them.
Group Guidelines
We released a new section of the website, laying out guidelines for Subcamps and Character Groups. Be aware the group listing won’t look pretty until there are actual groups in it.
Subcamps
Subcamps are recommended for any group looking to camp together that has 3 or more tents/structures. For anyone under that, we recommend just asking to be placed next to each other.
Subcamps can be IT or OT. You do not need to figure out a theme or decor to form a subcamp.
Character Groups
As always, people are free to make whatever in-character groups they like. But to keep it fair and easy to organize, we have some requirements a Character Group must fufil in order to recieve resources from the camp.
Once a group has registered with the camp, they have the option of recieving the following resources:
The ability to be listed on the Camp Website.
A private section of the Dendronian Discord for group communications.
The ability to setup In-Game Play Areas in the camp that can be in different areas than their personal tents.
Cheaper rentals for in-game play areas tied to your Character Group.
